PickyDomains.Com is a perfect example of how to turn one’s talent into a profitable business. With ever expanding Internet and tens of millions existing websites, finding an available domain name that’s not already taken by cybersquatters can be a real nightmare.

But one man’s problem is another man’s solution. Rather than to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars for a domain name on the aftermarket, an increasing number of web entrepreneurs turn to professional “domain namers”.

While most naming agencies charge a non-refundable fee that can be as high as $1500 for a corporate domain, one service that unites 17 professional domain namers from countries like United States, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, decided to offer a risk-free service that costs only 50 dollars per domain.

After 50 dollars are deposited, clients start getting a list of available domain names via e-mail for a period of 30 days. If they see a domain they like, they register it and notify the service about domain acquired. The individual, who came up with the name, gets $25, the other half going to the service. If no domain is registered, the money is refunded in full.

While the idea is brainlessly simple, it appears that PickyDomains.Com has no competition with its risk-free business model. But that is almost certain to change as more people find out that finding available domain names for other people can be a profitable business.

Neil Hamburger is a stand-up comedian character played by Gregg Turkington. Hamburger’s jokes range from variations of “Why did the chicken cross the road?” to celebrity targets, such as Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, and Diana, Princess of Wales, to jokes about his ex-wife. His pacing is off, and he clears his throat nonstop through his entire routine (often to keep overzealous fans from shouting out his punchlines), which has caused critics to tag him as “the world’s ‘worst’ stand-up comedian.” He has performed his brand of comedy, much of it anti-humor, in front of audiences from the New York University Thompson Center to Jimmy Kimmel Live and is often compared to Tony Clifton. In 1967, Doug Stanhope was born in Worcester, Massachusetts where he lived until he was 18 years old. Stanhope’s comedy career began in 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stanhope has made appearances at several major comedy festivals, including the Montreal Just For Laughs, US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, the Chicago Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, where he won the Strathmore Press Award in 2002.

Stanhope was the winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition where he edged out notable comedic actor Dane Cook in a three-week contest. He’s appeared in dozens of national and international standup comedy television specials. His style of comedy isn’t stand-up comedy, it’s entertainment. Zach Galifiankis is one of very few comedians who can entertain you in ways funnier than 99% of the stand-behind-the-mic for 30 minutes on a Comedy Central special comedians. I’m not knocking those comics, some are very funny, but Zach’s not a “Hey, my girlfriend is so different from me because..” kind of guy. He puts on a great show, and it’s rare to find someone with the ability to take you on a ride like this because it’s not the cookie-cutter comedy that TV networks throw sitcoms at.
